The first Hotel Transylvania movie was one of my favorite animated movies, but the second movie definitely takes that spot. Hotel Transylvania 2 had many quotable moments. Adam Sandler was able to make a movie that I did not despise. The plot itself may not be the greatest, but the funny moments makes up for it. The movie represents the struggle with in-laws and the significant other's families. Everyone has family that they do not want to be around. This movie makes an awkward situation into a hilarious movie. Not everyone enjoys animated movies, but this is one movie I would give a try. Hopefully they stop the Hotel Transylvania movies here, they have been good so far. I recommend this movie for a good laugh.

The movie Up needs more praise for how excellent it is. The start of the movie is a giant emotional roller coaster. Being able to see Carl Fredricksen grow up and go through his life with enough detail in short amount of time. In this short amount of time you are already emotionally attached to both his character and his wife Ellie. Once Ellie passed, the movie took a toll on me. The way Pixar could make me so emotionally invested in a character in little time made this movie great. The whole love story made me enjoy this movie until the end. When Carl and Russel start their relationship it is pretty rough, but in the end it works out for both of them. This movie had me feeling happy in the end. I enjoyed this movie and will watch it again soon.

Mike Wazowski is by far my favorite animated character. He is so adorable and I always enjoyed watching him in Monster's Inc. This movie just made him look even more adorable. All I want for him is success. Throughout this movie it shows his pathway to that success. Even though it is not exactly what he wanted, he did end up making a life long friend. I was worried about how this movie would go once it was announced. The first movie was perfect, I did not want them to ruin it with a prequel. Fortunately, Pixar came through with another great movie. Monster's University is always a joy to watch.

I rather enjoyed watching The Good Dinosaur. Yes, it's another Disney movie, but I enjoy them so I watch them often. The opening of the movie had me laughing for several minutes. I had to pause the movie to see what I had missed while laughing. The start of the movie has many parts that make you laugh out loud. After that it starts to get more serious. Arlo is unable to meet the requirements to make his mark. Once he messes up for the last time, his father decides it is time he finishes what he started. On this journey to find a creature who keeps stealing his crops, a terrible storm appears. Arlo is now lost and must find his way home. This movie has it's ups,but also has it's downs. I would definitely watch this movie again and again.

So I recently watched the newest Star Wars. Now let's make something very clear. I am definitely not a Star Wars nerd. I have not seen the previous movies, so I went into this blindly. The movie overall looked magnificent. The space battles and scenery stood out the most compared to other movies. I was that annoying person watching the movie asking all the questions about what is going on. The closest thing to watching Star Wars that I have seen, is watching the cartoon version with my little brother. So the plot did not exactly make since to me. There was plenty of action though, I could tell you that much. Star Wars: The Force Awakens was good on the eyes, but I could not make sense of it all.

Shrek is one of my all time favorite animated movies. You never know what DreamWorks is going to do with their new movies. I like to think this is because of the success with Shrek. The character Shrek is a lonely ogre who likes his peace. All of a sudden his life is turned upside down. Even though this movie may have been perceived as a kid's movie, there are many innuendos that would make an adult laugh. The different story to a common fairy tale was something I really enjoyed. Shrek is a movie for all audiences. I do not mind sitting down with my little brother and watching this movie. It is easy to watch over and over again.

The movie Zootopia is generally for a younger audience than my age, but I do love a cute animated movie. Zootopia tells the story of a young bunny named June. June aspires to become the first bunny police officer. June's parents are very timid and frightful and advise June against it. She decides to follow her dreams and go to Zootopia. In the new city June finds out that everything is not as it is advertised. June decided that she will be the best police officer no matter how bad the circumstances. The movie made many references to other Disney movies that will probably catch you off guard. It was hilarious to watch and I enjoyed every minute of the movie. Definitely a movie I will watch again and again.

The movie Inside Out, is a deep movie for a Disney production. The movie was about a young girl having to pick up and move to the other side of the country. Many people know how hard moving away from friends and family can be. This movie shows the inside of the mind of this young girl as she gets more and more depressed. Inside Out is a good representation of how someone feels when everything is falling apart. Joy wants to keep Riley happy for the rest of her life. Joy will learn that sometimes it is okay to be sad. This movie might be one of my favorite Disney movies. The story is more in depth than any other cartoon that I have seen. This is a movie everyone should watch.

When watching a Dreamworks film, expect it to make you laugh. The movie Shark Tale, is a family friendly movie that makes everyone laugh. The movie was very enjoyable to watch. The kids at his school used to make fun of him for wanting to be like his dad, who was a whale wash worker. Oscar is a fish who wants to be famous and rich, because of this he loses sight of what is most important. This is one that I can watch over and over again. It has many feel good moments that makes the movie more enjoyable to watch. Even with all these moments there are still parts that will make you sad. Shark Tale is a good show to watch with little ones. It keeps them occupied and they still have a good time.

This week I decided to watch the movie Project Almanac. Project Almanac is a about a senior, David Raskin, in high school who was accepted to the university of MIT. David was accepted by MIT, but did not get a full ride and so is unable to attend. While cleaning out his basement he finds his father's notes on how to build a time machine. The movie is really relatable in the fact that many would go back in time and change the out come of situations. From this point on he has different adventures with his friends who help build the machine. Rules are made about the machine that are supposed to not be broken at all cost. David of course has a crush on one of his friends so starts breaking the rules to win her over. That is when he learns that there are no second chances. I recommend people to watch this movie. It makes the viewer think and keeps them engaged through the whole movie.

This week I decided to watch the movie "The Intern". This movie was a heart-felt comedy starring Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro. In this movie, a seventy year old widower known as Ben Whittaker signs up for a senior citizen internship. He is assigned to work with the owner of an up and coming clothing website. The owner, who was very busy, did not believe she needed an intern. What she did not know is that she did not just need an intern, but a friend. The movie was very touching. It shows how hard it is to balance family and work. This movie makes people realize that everyone needs a friend, no matter how successful they may be. I would definitely recommend this movie to other people.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower surprisingly had a very good story to it. The movie was released in 2012 and the commercials for the movie did not sell it well. The movie does have many top actors in it that made the story come to life. Emma Watson and Logan Lehman both nailed their roles in the movie. The director's portrayal of high school was mostly accurate. Plus the movie included many actual fears of relationships in high schools. The director, Stephen Chbosky, had multiple stories going on in the movie. The main story overall story was of a freshman surviving through high school, and the not as noticeable story until the end, dealing with molestation. The stories made you want to pay attention to little details. At the end it all tied together and made the movie very well done.

If you ever need a good movie to watch, it is hard to go wrong with a Disney movie. This week Big Hero Six was on the agenda to watch. This movie is very fun to watch. There are many moments where I just could not help but laugh. The movie was actually really sad and I did not expect it to be like that, especially since it was a Disney movie. It may have been made for kids, but I enjoyed the entire show. Also I enjoyed how the movie tied itself with Marvel. I would recommend Big Hero Six to others. I wish I would have been able to seen it in theaters. Maybe other people would have found it as funny as I did.

This week I decided to watch the movie Lean on me. The movie was released in 1989 and is the oldest movie I have reviewed so far. It was actually so old that Morgan Freeman almost looked younger. I enjoyed the character Joe Clark more than any other. He was firm and would not allow for any intolerance. This is exactly what he needed to do as principal to turn the school around. By the end of the movie I was almost inspired to do my homework. The movie was old, but still is able to get through to people. This is a movie I would recommend people to watch at least once. It might be old, but still worth a viewing.

This week I decided to watch the movie Chronicle. Chronicle was released in 2012 and is in a “found footage” point of view. Movies in this view are always entertaining. Chronicle is about three guys that are going through high school. Each are in different social levels and live different lives. That is just a short background of the movie if you have not seen it. The movie had me engaged the whole time. Everything was going great for a while and then out of nowhere it is a emotional rollercoaster. Characters who you think are safe will not survive to the end of the movie. This is something I personally enjoy in movies because it adds a twist to the plot. Chronicle is a movie that I would recommend people to watch.

Everyone says baseball is America's pastime. When I hear this, I laugh to myself. Movies have been around for the last century. People watch movies to pass time, keep up with a story, or spend quality time with family and friends. Watching movies is something that I may enjoy more than others. At this point, I am able to review movies with a nonbiased opinion. That is what I will be doing in this blog. I will be sharing my views on different movies, from a range of genres. My opinion may not always be the popular one but it will always be an honest one. I hope you enjoy my blog!
